After 24-hours of work, firefighters have a perimeter around a 1,000 acre wildfire in Stevens County. The Slide Creek Fire started Thursday in the hills above Arden and has already destroyed two homes. KXLY4's McKay Allen reports.

Hot, dry, windy conditions are fueling fires across the Inland Northwest, the worst of which is the Slide Creek fire in Stevens County, where a downed power line has led to a fast-moving wildfire that has burned more than 500 acres.
